Grateful for my shower

I had my shower on Sat. I have to admit I was little worried about my mom hosting (let's say housekeeping is not her forte) but everything went fairly smoothly except for the weather. Two of my closest friends helped my mom out for which she was extremely grateful. We had passing T-storms throughout the day but fortunately there was a big umbrella on the deck so we are able to stay outside for the most part.

I received a lot of thoughtful gifts especially from my mom and my MIL. And yes, a lot of them were *gasp* not on the registry! I got a very nice quilt from MIL that was originally made for DH when he was born and my mom gave me a few her hand knitted items that she made for me when I was a baby plus a few newer things.

Everyone seemed to have a good time. Instead of games, everyone filled out a page to fit into a scrapbook.

Overall, it was very nice day and I realize how lucky I am to have to such wonderful people in my life.

After seeing the XP from third tri, I just have to shake my head.

I am always amazed by the thoughtfulness of others. So glad you were "showered" with gifts for your sweet LO.
