Clomid question

Hi, ladies,

I just started Clomid this past week, and I am currently on my last pill (cycle day 8).  I took 100 mg each days 4 and 5 and 50 mg each days 6, 7 and 8.  I also take Met 2000 mg for PCOS-IR.  I don't ovulate without progesterone, but I'm wondering if I ovulated or am having AF visit because I had some blood with wiping this morning (TMI, I know), and I've felt nauseous and bloated all day (didn't feel this way on cycle days 4-7).  My postcoital test and ultrasound aren't until next Monday, 8/31, but I'm wondering if this is normal, if I'm being a hypochondriac and overreacting or if I should call my RE.  Thanks for your help in advance!!!

    i had breakthrough bleeding this cycle on CD10...called the doc and they said that it was fairly normal and not to worry about it unless it was a LOT of blood.  Are you doing OPKs?  I can't imagine that you o'd already, but it is possible i guess....

    Hi, there,

    Thanks for responding.  It's not a lot of blood, but I don't menstruate on my own without meds (oh the joys of PCOS), so any blood not by prescription weirds me out.  I don't do OPK's for that reason; I guess, I shouldn't worry about getting one just yet.

    you don't do opk's because of your PCOS?  I am not familiar with all the ins and outs of PCOS...so how will you know if you are ovulating or not on the clomid?  is the u/s date just a shot in the dark?

    I don't ovulate on my own, so I don't buy ovulation predictor kits.  They started me on Met to get me to ovulate, but that didn't work, so the RE started Clomid to see if they can make me ovulate, and I guess, they'll bring me in to see if I'm responding next Monday.

    Thanks :)  I was just curious...my RE has me use opks until I get an LH surge and then that is the day that I go in for an ultrasound.  Good luck!!!!
