Yay!!! Getting ready for IVF#!.....again.

I was gearing up for IVF#1 a few cycles ago with BCP suppression and Lupron shots, only to have my insurance company cancel it and say they wanted me to do IUI instead   What a mind game. 

So we went through IUI#1, which was negative.  We're going on vacation this month so they were going to put me on Femara for this cycle, and then move on to IUI#2.  My insurance company said I would have to do "Up to 6" IUI's cycles before moving on to IVF.

Well my RE fought a hard battle with them this morning, and won!   My insurance company approved the IVF, so now I'm just waiting for my instructions.  I'm so excited!!!!!!!!!

I was in the same situation...decided to move to IVF after 3 failed IUIs...came home and was told my insurance denied it, drove 1/2 an hour back to the dr. to learn how to do the new injections (Follistim) for my next IUI, came home, and found out insurance approved my IVF!  Freaking insurance companies!!!

Not sure yet, they are calling me later with instructions.  One of the nurses just called to tell me the good news.  I love my RE's office!!! 

I'll be on BCP supression with Lupron again i'm sure, until I fit into a cycle...which is hopefully soon!
