SC REs (Infertility Specialist)
Hi ladies! I need recommendations for REs (docs that specialize in infertility) in SC. We live in Columbia and are currently using one of the 2 docs here, but I need a 2nd opinion and I don't want to go to the other doc in town.
If you've used an RE, who did you use & do you recommend them? If you haven't used an RE do you have friends that did & who did they use? Is there anyone you don't recommend?

I'm using PREG--Piedmont Reproductive Endocrinology Group in Greenville. I know they have multiple offices but I think the other ones are Asheville and Spartanburg. I've been using them since June (consult appt in April) and am really enjoying them over the RE I used when we lived in Atlanta. I don't know if it is a smaller city thing or what, I just don't feel like a number, but a real patient.
In Atlanta, they wanted to see me every week, always at the crack of dawn and bloodwork every appt. and I had insurance coverage for infertility. It cost me tons out of pocket. Here, I go in for an u/s on day 12, and then my IUI. Everything else is done by phone. Even doing self pay, they are much cheaper than Atlanta with insurance coverage! No bloodwork except the first cycle on day 3 to get a baseline.
We are doing minimum stimulation w/IUI due to PCOS and low motility....see my stuff in my siggy. It might be worth an hour and a half drive a few times a month to see them.
