Clomid v. Femara

Before I knew about being monitored I did two cycles of Clomid with my OB/GYN - no side effects that I knew of (because of not being monitored) except for a crazy sex drive.  Once I started with an RE he put me on Femara with monitoring of course.  He doesn't usually proscribe Clomid because of the side effects.  However, I feel like total and complete crap on Femara - horrible headaches and just bascially feel depressed. 

Did anyone switch from Femara to Clomid?  If so why did you?  I know I ovulate on Femara but I just hate feeling like complete crap for 5 days.

    I did.

    I made the switch b/c I never ovulated on clomid.  I also had really, really bad side effects while on clomid.  When I moved to femara, I had no side effects and ovulated.  I would just let you RE know how bad you feel.

    I did too!

    The RE was really unhappy with my lining on Clomid.  I had bad side effects with clomid too and I never got a positive OPK.  I moved to Femara, for 2 cycles, got a positive OPK, and actually just got a BFP (waiting for the beta).
