Infertility

update from yesterday

So, I was going to call the doctor today to get checked out and find out my fertility options. But, now my chart is showing that I ovulated 3 days ago. I'm on day 42, and it showed ovulation on day 21 for a while, then it changed it's mind.

So I'm sorta confused on what to do now. IF I did ovulate when it said I did, there's a good chance I might be PG, so I don't want to call to get checked out if I am. Sorry, I'm probably obsessing over nothing and I know I haven't been TTC long and some of you may be upset that I seem so "excited". But, we all started TTC at some point, right? You've all been where I'm at.

With this change I should wait to see what my temp does, right?

Re: update from yesterday

  • I would call and make and appointment, worst that could happen is that you could be pregnant and would have to reschedule (not so bad really - is it) It can take a month to 2 months for a consult appointment at some RE's at least if this cycle didn't work you would be that much ahead of the game rather then losing out on 1-2 more cycles waiting.
A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!

  • i don't see any real clear indicator of ovulation on your chart...    so i don't think the CD21 estimate was correct.   the temp shift just didn't last.     to be totally honest, i am not sure why it gave you crosshairs on CD39, since those three temps aren't any higher than your temps around CD36.     what's the reason behind all of the open circles?     so i agree with you, in that all you can do is wait and see!    hang in there!

i didn't see your post yesterday...  but is there a CD by which if you haven't gotten AF you are supposed to call your doctor?

  • I was thinking my temps didn't really look like ovulation either. The open circles are a mystery. The only thing I can figure out is my default time is 5 am (when I wake up for work) and those are the non-work days that I took my temp at 6.

My post yesterday was just saying that I was diagnosed with PCOS 5 years ago and came off BCP 2 months ago and still haven't gotten my period. The general consensus was since I knew I had a problem, I should go ahead and call the doctor to get everything started.

  • I agree you should still call the dr. They would give you a pg test before they did any treatments anyway. It would be a nice suprise if you were pg and not have to go through this. Stay excited, I can't speak for everyone but I think it is exciting to think "maybe". But CALL you dr. Soon, why wait???
