alternate spelling for addison?

i know this isnt' the most popular name around here!  either way, are there any alternate spellings that you like with out being too youneek?

i know many of you hate any alternate spellings, but keep in mind that there are plenty of names w "acceptable" other spellings.  think catherine/katherine/katharine or madeline/madeliene or christina/kristina/cristina.  just sayin....

The only one I can think of that doesn't look totally ridiculous is Addisen, and I don't even like that at all.

Changing the spelling isn't going to make the name Addison any less common. ?And for the love of God, don't try to stick a 'y' in the middle. ?Puh-lease.?

I can't think of any alternate spellings that don't make me vomit.  Who cares if we like the name- just don't make your child spell her name for everyone her whole life when there is a "most common" version.

What's wrong with just spelling it Addison?  It's not like that's such a popular name that you have to make your DD stick out from the other Addisons in the world!

I can't think of any other spellings that wouldn't make it look misspelled and awkward.

it isn't a popularity issue..i don't really care about that.  i was looking for a more feminine look...that's all.

This. Without adding a random "y" that might make it look more feminine, there isn't a feminine spelling of Addison because it was originally a boy's name.  And the random "y" just makes you look special.

If youfeel that Addison isnt feminine enough maybe you shouldnt name a girl Addison.

Adysen, Addysun, Addieson, Adyesen, Adysun, A'dison

Hope it makes you keep the original spelling or change your mind about the name for a girl.

There is no feminine alternative for Addison. You may want to choose a similar sounding name like Adeline or Adele.
