dh and i already have a daughter and we recently found out we are expecting another child. we are 100% set on a boy's name that we have loved forever, but cannot even come close to agreeing on a girl's name since we used our favorite name for our first kiddo and none of the other names we had on that list are even in the running anymore. did anyone else find it hard to come up with a second (or third etc) name for another child of the same gender as the first. we have plenty of time to decide, but already it seems like naming a second kid (if it turns out to be a girl) will be much harder than the first.
Re: second time name question
oh yes! We still don't have a name for DD#2. Each time we come close to deciding "this is it", it suddenly doesn't seem right and we're back at square 1. With DD#1, we had her name picked out for sure before we even knew she was a girl.
Of course both times we also had our boy names picked out 100% sure when we first found out we were PG.. girl names are just harder for us! But the second one is even harder because you're comparing the name to the first, wanting them to work together, etc...
But, I have no doubt that once we decide, even if we go in with a few names we love and name her after she's born, the name will end up feeling and fitting her perfectly.
