Re: need some help - breakfast ideas

  • My H used to make a big batch of scrambled eggs mixed with sausage and potoes. I could fill little bowles of it and take it off to day-care. All you have to do is heat it up.

  • Hey, don't knock the waffles! :-)!

I have been making small muffins - banana with carrot and sweet potato puree. Yogurt, scrambled eggs, cottage cheese, whole wheat pancakes.

But I have to tell you, a nice frozen whole wheat waffle with strawberry cream cheese is healthy and easy! And one for mommy, too! kids just love them.

  • My family goes up to the cabin a lot, so they will pre-make a lot of meals & just put it in the freezer. Pancakes & quiche are their favorites.

  • wow you guys send your kids some fancy breakfast. The most fancy I get is scrambled eggs with ham and cheese. Usually we have milk, cereal with raisins, Kashi breakfast bars, bananas.

I make a huge batch of pancakes every weekend, freeze 2 each in a ziplock bag so I can just grab a single bag each morning & go.  I try to make them healthier by adding apple sauce (about 1/2 cup) & a sliced/quartered banana.
  • im not knocking waffles but i dont want him to eat that everyday.
