Mine are just tucked under the changing pad...yes, I know there are slits in the pad for a reason, but if I strap ds down, I use the straps that are attached to the actual table.

We occasionally used them so they're still there but DD rolls like a maniac so the straps really don't make a difference anymore.

We moved everything down to the floor since he got so wiggly but prior to that I would use them to strap him in or give one to him to play with as a distraction.

We let DS play with them while he is being changed, he needs so sort of entertainment or he goes into hysterics

I should try this! DS loves to chew on the straps of his stroller and this would be a great distraction for when I am changing him.

I left them attached in case we would need to use them in the future. I don't use them now and I doubt I ever will.

We have 2 sets. 1 attaches the mat to the table, and we occasionally use the second set to strap DS to the mat if both eyes aren't trained on him (i.e. replinishing diapers from the stash on the bottom shelf, changing out the wipes, etc.)
