Thrush help- gentian violet ?? Please come in!

I am almost positive I have thrush (again....I remember the feeling from dd#1) and I want to try gentian violet to try and get rid of it before it gets as bad as it did before. Do I just swab myself with it? I am not sure if dd has it and I want to start treatment right away so I haven't called the pedi yet but the gv has a small amount of alcohol in it- is it safe to swipe her mouth? Any other pointers are welcome! Thanks!

Dilute it 50/50 with water. I found the easiest way to do that is to soak the qtip in water and then dip in the GV bottle. Then let the baby suck on the swab.

You can just swab your nips.

Good luck. I've got to treat us AGAIN. I must host the most tenacious yeast strain known to man, because we've had it off and on for most of the last 6 months. And I've done everything from Nystatin to GV to vinegar in the laundry to grapefruit seed extract.
