I still have a week until my LO is 8 months, but I'll go ahead and answer
DD does not hold her own bottle consistently- she can hold it, and she'll grab it and hold it to her lips if she really wants to. Typically she gets bored with holding it and would rather scratch at the sofa fabric or stroke DH's facial hair. (She will, however, grab her sippy cup and drink from it on her own.)
We've just recently started offering more table foods. She's had puffs, Cheerios, baked sweet potato cubes, banana chunks, and pieces of tofu dusted with crushed Cheerios.
Is your lo holding there own bottle? He actually has been holding his bottle for quite a few months now.
Is your lo eating table/finger foods? If so which ones? No, he refuses anything besides purees (he'll spit them out and/or gag and vomit)
Is your lo crawling/walking/waving bye or hi? He's close to crawling (can move either knees or hands, but can't quite get them together...and is rocking a bunch). He will pull himself to standing, and cruise along furniture a little bit. He's not waving.
Is your lo holding there own bottle? Nope. She likes to help hold it and the sippy cup, but she still need adult help.
Is your lo eating table/finger foods? If so which ones? Not really. She still doesn't have a pincer grasp. I have given her carrots and apples to gnaw on, though.
Is your lo crawling/walking/waving bye or hi? None of the above. I think she's going to skip crawling all together b/c she much prefer assisted walking.
DD is 9mos now, but at 8mos she was not holding her bottle. Still doesn't, but she holds her sippy just fine so I'm not worried. She was eating table foods- sweet potato, carrots, green beans, cheerios, puffs. She was waving, clapping, and crawling (started out army crawling, but around 8.5mos went to crawling on all fours).

Re: few questions for 8 monthers
at 8 mos DS
1) wasn't holdiing his own bottle
2) was eating SOME finger foods - mostly puffs, yogurt melts and some breads I would break up for him. Not much else.
3) was crawling, crusing along furniture, and taking 2-5 steps unassisted
4) not waving hi/bye yet
I don't know, lol. I'm never here when she gets bottles. She only gets bottles of bm when I'm working a wedding which is almost every Saturday.
Yes, pasta, crackers, bread, chopped up fruit, there are others but I can't remember lol
Yes, No, Yes?

Crawling: yes. Walking/waving: no.
Is your lo holding there own bottle? He doesn't take a bottle. He'll sometimes hold his sippy.
Is your lo eating table/finger foods? If so which ones? mum mums, bread and banana
Is your lo crawling/walking/waving bye or hi? yes to crawling. He'll also pull up to a stand holding on to furniture.
We're almost at 8mo so I'll play.
She's been holding her own bottle since 7mo
Eats bananas but that's about all we've tried for finger food.
She crawls and waves goodbye.
What a fun age!
He never really gets a bottle - he has had pumped milk in a sippy if that counts.
He's only had finger food since we started solids at 6 months. Anything soft - mostly roasted or steamed veggies and fruit.
He crawls but no walking or waving.
