My Dh was actually ready before I was to start a family.
After I got my BFP I had him open a little gift. I had put an "I love my Daddy" bib and the positive test in a box that said Texas Treasures.
My mom was actually the first after Dh to find out, mainly because I was going nuts not telling anyone. I was just telling her, a couple days running, that I was nauseous and she figured it out on her own. I let her tell the rest of her side when we were almost at the 2nd trimester.
My ILs----MIL- i got a little photo albumn and put the picture of the ultra sound and a grandparent poem in it. For FIL and SIL we made them tshirts that said grandpa and Aunt.. and what ever their name was. With the SIL we did also had a cute little monkey in the middle and had little "errors" in the printing like a little kid might have made it--crooked letters.
Everyone else, we told via FB by changing our profile pictures and seeing how long it took them to figure it out.

we had IF, so we got pg via IVF. so, we had a circle of friends that were praying for us throughout the process, this included my immediate family. so, when the process came to the end of the 2ww, i called H as soon as i got the call (they send the b/w out), then i proceded to call my family members and sent an email out to the circle that was praying w/us throughout. H was so excited that he did put some leading postings on his FB and i had to rein him in, but there were some that figured it out.
for everyone else, we will be announcing our pregnancy in week 13.
When I got my BFP, I went out to the grocery while DH was still asleep (it was a saturday) and bought some buns at the bakery (2 because we had been doing infertility treatments and the chances of twins was high), and I stuck them in the oven (no heat on). When he woke up and stumbled downstairs I told him I had something for him in the oven.
He came out to the living room with a big stupid grin on his face, carrying the buns from the oven, and asking "are you sure?".

Um, I said: Sweetheart! Guess what!
The first time I made him tell me that he saw the little line on the stick.
As for everyone else, we just told them outright. No big parade or anything. We saved that for when she was born.
Welcome, and good luck!
I just kinda told him, nothing fancy. We'd been through some losses, so we were careful about the fanfare until we were sure it would stick.
