Ok so DH let out my MIL's dog last night and she ran away.  So today we printed up flyers, we put an add in the paper and craigs list, we called all the vets/animal shelters in the area.  Is there anything we aren't thinking of?!  TIA!

does the dog have a chip??  I know we had our lab implanted with a chip in case she gets lost or stolen.

and if it came from a shelter originally it will have a chip already

Chips are great, we have them too but they only work if someone finds them AND brings them somewhere where they have a scanner...

Oh no, I'm so sorry your DH didn't find the dog last night. 

I'm trying to brainstorm where you can put flyers.... grocery stores, library, vets/animal shelters, REC centers, fitness centers...

Ahhh..I'm so sorry this happened!  The only other thing that you might want to try is to put flyers in the neighbor's mailboxes with your name/number or deliver the flyers to them personally.  Our house cat that we've had for 5 years escaped from our house about a month ago...and we did everything that you thought of....unfortunately she's not a dog...so we still haven't found her.  I'm sure someone out there will see a dog and take her to a shelter or call to see if someone is missing a dog.  I'll say a quick prayer in hopes that the dog turns up!
