Ugh. so age 36. 2009. 1st year of being married. Has not been our year. We've had 3 m/cs ~ one this week
We are still hell bent on making it work ~becoming parents.
We've had RPL testing once ~
I am just curious if anyone has any thoughts on what I should ask for or do??
I did set up a consult with an RE & an appt for acupuncture.
is there hope???
Re: Turning 37 soon. 3 m/c in 2009.
I am so sorry about your losses.
There is always hope. We have had gals on this board with multiple losses go on to healthy pregnancies.
The RE will be most helpful in determining what's going on, and helping you set up a plan.
GL to you.
2009 sure has been tough on you and DH. I'm sorry for your losses and all you've been through.
I think it's wise that you are going to the RE. For me it was a though step to take but I am so glad that I am working with the level of doctor who has the most expertise in diagnosing conception problems. An RE's #1 goal is to get and keep you PG. If anyone can help, they can.
Good luck and keep us posted. We're here for you.
I am really sorry to hear about your m/cs. They really do start to take a toll on you and your thoughts about TTC. I will say you have hope! I had 3 m/c before getting pg with DS on my first IUI attempt. We weren't as successful with attempt #1 for TTC #2, but we're still working on it and my RE is very optimistic.
Have you had the gamut of tests besides RPL? (CD3 b/w, HSG, progesterone, post coital, SA) If you haven't then I'm sure your RE will ask for them to be done.
Keep the hope alive! I have it for you!
I am turning 38 in September. I have gone through 2 miscarriages in the past year. I am taking baby asprin right now, but this was diagnosed by my obgyn, so we will see if this makes a difference.
I am setting a realistic goal of trying to have my 1st child by the age of 40 (but the truth is that I want 3 children)--if this does not happen, I will be looking at adoption. I want a healthy child--that is the most important thing.
So sorry about your losses.
I think you are doing the right thing by setting up an appt with the RE.Hopefully, the RE can figure out what is going on. Yes, there is definitely hope for you. I have seen several girls on here with more than one m/c go on to have a healthy baby.
By the way, I started acupuncture and I love it.
so sorry about your losses but congratulations on your marriage! I'm currently 37...I had a m/c when I was 36...another at 37...and then still at 37....had to terminate at 12 weeks along when they found a life threatening birth defect....We have our 4th IUI coming up on Sunday...there is A LOT OF HOPE! I have friends and co-workers OLDER then me who are pregnant or who have just had a baby!
Seeing an RE is the best step. They know what to do from here! Don't give up hope...I love your attitude of being hell bent on making it work!!!
Good luck!
