Re: cajun, how is /was ferber?

  • i did it one night (alone mind you) and it was extremely hard emotionally. i'm a whimp. the hubs will be home from offshore tonight, so we're going to start over. but the past couple of nights he's been falling asleep on his own and only waking up once.

  • ok. keep me updated.  I could never do it alone either!   Grant has been waking up more and more the past few days. last night it was 11, 1, 3, 5, 6. i am a zombie!
  • i'll let you know how it goes! these kids will be the death of us.
  • We did it and had great success...

However, I had the hubs take the middle of the night shift 3 nights in and that was apparently very hard.. he said she was up and down for three hours and thnen got up for the day at 5.

everything has been perfect since that night.

how many days did it take???  do you have a written log of the details? i would prefer this lol

  • We've been doing Ferber for the past 4 nights and it's been up and down.. literally. Nights 1 and 3 were great. She went down easily and slept through the night without waking up (enough for me to hear her). Nights 2 and 4.. completely different. She goes down easily, crying for a few minutes at the most, but then she woke up several times. One night, she was up from 3:30am until 6am. That was the worst night of my life. Last night was almost similar, but DH got fed up after an hour and took her into the living room. I was way too tired/frustrated to argue with him about it. So, I'm hoping this isn't going to set us back too much. We'll try again tonight.
