Baby won't nap in crib

Hi, ladies,

Where does your baby nap during the day?  crib, car, family bed?

My baby will go down for bedtime in her crib but she simply will do everything she can to not nap during the day. The only way that I can consistently get her to nap is to lie down with her and hold her but I was hoping that naptime would be time where I  got some time to do what I needed to do during the day so it is not a good long term option for me.

I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong. I'm not sure if I need to just make her CIO during the day for naptime, but that is really an option I don't like...

Some times, DS will nap on me. He does nap in his bouncy seat or swing, too. He goes back to the sitters in two weeks when I go back to work.

Abbey was like this until 4-5 mo.  We were talking with our ped & she recommended CIO.  I read the HSHHC & decided we'd just be consistent.  She had 2 days of fussing for about 15 min, then stopped completely.  If you're just consistent & stick to the crib, they get it pretty quickly... or I hope so for you!

Both of my girls were like that at first too.  I found that if I put a t-shirt that I wore in there with them, that it seemed to really help.
