well we have kept our daughters name a secret to family and friends but i would like to know what everyone else thinks of it

That's nice and all but the spelling is really bad.  Can you just do Alison/Allison for Al and come up with a middle name with "les" in it for you dad?

I agree with pp's, the spelling is awful. Even if your trying to honor someone, it will be a huge burden on your child.

Allison is the ONLY way to spell Allison without it looking silly

I so badly want to like the name because of the sentiment behind it. But I don't, the spelling is awful.

I would keep it a secret if you are going to use it, because I can guarantee you will not get a good response from family and friends before the baby is born.

I do like the family aspect, and that makes it okay for me, unlike other younique spellings.

But Allessandra is better.

I feel like (in my honest opinion here) that while it's nice to honor someone, I would only use their name.  I think you could do the normal spelling of Alison and then Leslie as a MN.
