please reconsider that spelling. you're dooming your daughter to a lifetime of people giving her the side eye. and yourself to a lifetime of people thinking you can't spell. it's awful.

I so badly want to like the name because of the sentiment behind it. But I don't, the spelling is awful.
I would keep it a secret if you are going to use it, because I can guarantee you will not get a good response from family and friends before the baby is born.

I feel like (in my honest opinion here) that while it's nice to honor someone, I would only use their name. I think you could do the normal spelling of Alison and then Leslie as a MN.
Re: shhh its a secret
I agree with pp's, the spelling is awful. Even if your trying to honor someone, it will be a huge burden on your child.
Allison is the ONLY way to spell Allison without it looking silly

... or Alessandra?
I too like the name and I think the meaning behind it is very heartwarming...
Alessia sounds like a great suggestion to honor both people and it's just as pretty as Allison.
Nice sentiment, spelling is painful. Seriously.
I usually don't say negative comments and try to be objective, but this is really stretching it.
I do like the family aspect, and that makes it okay for me, unlike other younique spellings.
But Allessandra is better.

Just my thoughts.
I totally agree.
