I recently found out my sister is pregnant, she emailed me because she doesn't know I am pregnant yet and I guess she thought I might be upset if she called me, since she knows we have been trying and having problems. This was a total surprise pg for her. This will be her 3rd child.

I need to call her to congratulate her but I really wanted to wait to tell her my news until I could see her and the rest of my family in person, which won't be for almost another month.  This is our first pg and we wanted the annoucement to be special, to see their faces.

Now I feel torn. I don't know if I should tell her over the phone or wait. I am not sure I could hold back from telling her when I talk to her.  WWYD?

If it was me... there would be no way I could keep it a secret, I would be bursting to tell someone.  Maybe you can just share your news with her and make her keep your secret until you get to see your family.  at least that way you have someone to share your excitement with.  Plus you will be going through pregnancy together... how fun!

ditto this...but ONLY if she can keep quiet. If she can't, I wouldn't share the news with her until you're ready.?
