How often did you do professional pics?

We had someone come to the house to do newborn pictures at 6 weeks, Now I am thinking I will go to Target or somewhere like that at 3, 6 and 9 months and then do fancier pics at 1 year. I just want one good shot for the 3, 6, & 9 months. My questions, how often did you do pictures and did you go one actual or adjusted milestone ages? Thanks!

We did pro pics at 3,7,12 months. And haven't since.

We have a friend who is a photographer and he gives us an awesome discount. We did them at 1, 4, 7, 10 and 12 months actual. I plan to do them again when he starts walking and then at Christmas every year.

we did 3 and 6 months at portrait innovations (love them and they're pretty cheap!) and we have an appointment (with a "real" photographer for sometime more candid) that will work out to be about 9 months (which we'll use for his 1st bday invites). i'm sure we'll do sometime again at 12 months as well and then probably switch to once a year. until another baby comes and then i'm sure we'll start all over again!

We had a friend come for some newborn pics since I wasn't about to take DD outside anywhere.  She was about 1 month old when we did them.  Since then we did 3, 6, and I'm going to make an appt. for 9 months in a couple of weeks at Kiddie Kandids or Portrait Innovations.  We've done actual age.

We had  a friend who is a photographer come to our house to do holiday pictures since Brandon wasn't allowed out because it was during RSV season. He was 4 1/2 months old. I took him to Kiddie Kandids when he was 10 months old and finally allowed out of the house since it was after RSV season and then again when he turned 1. I plan on doing pictures every year around Christmas to use on our holiday card and at each of his birthdays.

We did 3 months, 7 months and 1 year. We bought a first year package that consists of 5 one hour sessions, but I haven't used them in the first year. We might do Halloween and Christmans to use it up? We'll see, I love my photographer and it was a great deal

a friend (also a professional) took family pictures for us when DS came home (www.jacquiecphotography.com).  We'll probably have family pictures taken again when he's 1 yr old (adjusted)....

First off, I am an absolute sucker for pictures.  Second, most of our families live out of state and may not even meet the babies until they are 2, or even longer!  We had pictures taken at 1 month, 2 months, 3 months, and 4 months actual age.  We are going to try and continue that each month through 1 year.  We have them done at JCPenney.
