Where did you get the toilet ring? this is gross on so many levels

BRU or Target I think. I can't remember...we have so many potty rings around our house I forget where I bought them all! And yes, it is gross! But, I heard on the Today show the other day that you might as well go ahead and sit directly on public toilets sans liners and all (news to me) because it's less germy than you'd think. Just wash your hands! I've pretty much bought stock in Germex and Purell since having grubby little fomite kids!
The potty ring is folded up in a large ziploc bag that I keep in the diaper bag/car just in case he needs to go while we're out. It gets washed and rewashed and put into a new ziploc bag for the next outing. Ugh, I'll be glad when he masters peeing standing up!
