Pampers vs Target Diapers

Hi.  I have always used Pampers - Swaddlers and then  Cruisers and even the Easy Ups for night when my older DD was potty training.  She had very sensitive skin so I never tried any of the other brands.  My younger DD does not have the skin issues and I am really trying to save some money.  Tried LUVS and hated them - they leaked and the little bead things were everywhere.  A friend of mine uses Target brand and likes them but I was looking for more opinions.  I am going to get a small package to try but would love some more 1st hand experience thoughts.

Thanks for sharing

  • I never used them, but my sister did with her DD and she liked them.

  • a friend of mine claims they changed... I never used them, but she said she loved the target brand, then they changed logos to up and up or whatever and she doesnt care for them... but like i said I can't say much about them

  • We used Pampers with my DS for the first year and a half.  He has sensitive skin too.  We had to use the Baby Dry, though, because the Cruisers gave him a rash.  When money got tight, we swtiched to the Target brand.  I can't remember exactly when we swtiched...maybe at 18 months or something like that...?  Anyway, the Target brand worked just fine for us, and saved us a ton of money!
  • We recently switched to the Target brand and love them. We used Huggies before.  I think their sizing is better too. DD was getting to big for Huggies 4s but the Target 4s are bigger then the Huggies, so she can stay in those a little longer.

Plus a Target 5 will not leak on DD overnight.  So I don't have to spend the extra $$ on the Huggies overnights.

I would try a small pack, its about $6.

  • We've been using Target brand for about a year (we used pampers before) and I love them.

They did change the brand to the new Up & Up (like all the other target products).  It seems when they did that the diapers got a little bit longer in the length so DS was able to stay in his size for longer because he had more room (lengthwise).

You should grab a small pack and give them a chance.   :)

  • its so funny how one person loves something, and another person hates it! hahaha i love luvs!!! i tried everything and it was the only diaper that didnt leak for me!!! too funny!
  • Money was tight for us, so I wanted to try the traget brand, but unfortunately my DD is allergric to them. Same with Pampers.  So we just stick to Huggies.

  • My DD has very sensitive skin and has been in the Target brand since she was about a month old!  Around 9 months, she had issues with them so we switched to Pampers.  I tried them again when she was 10 or 11 months and no issues!  It's definitely worth a try - I really like them!
  • I'm trying the Target pull ups now.  I bought a small pack and they worked ok with no leaks.  They fit a little snug so this time around I got a size larger.  Well, last night my DD leaked.  I never thought about using an overnight diaper for her like pp.  If it continues to be an issue maybe I'll try that.  So far they've worked well for days.  I started off in Pamers Swaddlers then Cruisers.  At about 14 months I switched to Huggies.  Hopefully, we can stick with the Target because it will save some money.  I just wish they were sold in larger packages.
