I saw your post about rice milk or soy milk. Have you looked into hemp milk? I give that to Lili and drink some myself. It's actually pretty good. We use the Living Harvest brand. It is very good for her. Seven grams of fat, 46% of your daily calcium in one 8oz glass, and is easily digestible; it also contains a ton of fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals. I give Lili the unsweetened vanilla, and it has very little sugar in it, but you could just try the unsweetened original if you prefer.

  • Oooh! I actually haven't heard of that- thank you! We are still in the "trial" portion of it all right now, which I hate doing to him, but we need to see if he is in fact allergic (without going the route of skin prick by his GI yet) or if he was simply sick this past week.  We are giving him 2% right now, so we'll see.  The pedi seems to think he has an intolerance to the fats in whole milk.  I'll definitely keep Hemp milk in mind, though.  Thanks again!
