for those of you who got your BFP's, can you please share with us what your early signs of pregnancy were, assuming you had any signs (I know not all women experience it).
ie: spotting, cramping, sore BB's, higher than usual BBT, etc.
Also, if you feel something in particular worked for you, we'd love to have some tips!!
Thank you!
Re: Spinoff post to "those who got a BFP"...
This is a re post of what I put on GP yesterday:
My symptoms this month were unlike any of my other 2WWs. I had terrible bloating and gas from DPO 6-12, which is very unlike me. I also had tender breasts but that's common in my 2WW. I also just felt hot all the time and had insomnia. Also not like me.
My temps were also unlike my other 2WW-I had a few times they would be the same for 2-3 days in a row. I remember someone commenting that happened to her in her BFP month, which I thought was interesting.
This month I:
- Added Pre Seed for the first time.
- Took an extra 50 mg of B6 (up from 10 extra mg the 2 previous months).
- Followed
many of the diet suggestions from the Infertility Diet book. I think I ate a pound of walnuts in the last month LOL
- Drank at least 2 cups of organic green tea from CD1 to ovulation. Had more EWCM than ever before.
I just wanted to share because you have all given me so much :-)Hope that helps, Dina. GL!
sex and lots of it.
seriously, i had my first iui and we put little effort into extra bd'ing.
the second time we did it every other day up until the iui and then every day for about 4 days after (including day of iui). if you aren't doing iui, know when you ovulate and GET BUSY!
i had little to no symptoms, in fact, i was spotting. i took a test 11dpiui and got a negative so when the nurse called 14dpiui w/ my results i was shocked.
?my temperature was up but it has been up in past months with no success.?
my bbs did hurt but i was using progesterone so chalked it up to that.
?who knew? i'm still cautious but have seen the little hb twice and pray every day that s/he keeps on trucking.
it's so hard to believe that you'll get your bfp but as my pittsburgh husband would say "yinz guys just gotta believe"!!!!
baby dust to everyone!!!!?
?
The only thing I felt different this time was a few days after the transfer I felt a twinge on my left side a few times and then this past Sunday I got really hot and felt lightheaded and had to go sit down. ?Other than that I felt fine.
I started acupuncture in June and before and after the transfer I drank so much pomegranate juice I should have turned pink!?

I really had no symptoms except for Friday I got REALLY sick after eating Chinese food. Monday I got the BFP. I was not expecting much this cycle because last cycle it was very wonky. I did have brown spotting from day 3 dpo to yesterday which was day 12. The doc says it was old blood.
I did use OPKs and made sure we BD according to that. If this didn't work this month I was starting charting next month because my O has been off the last couple of months. So I wanted to start tracking what it was doing.
Today, my boobs are very sore. I don't want to take off the bra or they might fall to the floor! GL to you!
I was on this board for over a year before I got my BFP and I hope all of you gals get yours soon
That said, here's my story:
The cycle we got pg I used the fertility monitor for the first time and had sex the day before and the day of the Peak. Before that month I had been charting for a year and using OPKs. I thought our timing was perfect every month but who knows. I like to think the monitor was more accurate and worked, especially since I know two other people who used it and got pg within the first 3 months of using it. Or maybe it was b/c I had an HSG in August and that helped flush out my tubes.
Normally I have short 9-11 LPs but the last two months before the BFP they had gotten a day longer due to taking vitamin B6 (80mg incl. that in the prenatal vitamin) and taking the herb Vitex (which I took for 6 months). I started spotting around 12dpo but I had taken 2 HPT tests at 10 and 11 dpo and they were negative. When I saw the spotting and my temp went down a bit I thought for sure AF was on her way. But then on 14dpo my temp shot up and my spotting stopped. That had never happened so I was suspicious and tested. Sure enough, I got a BFP! I couldn't believe it.
After the BFP I had a couple of days of mild menstrual cramps (again, I thought the BFP might have been a fluke and AF was coming). But no, the cramps stopped and I took another HPT, again positive. Other than the cramping and sore boobs (which I had every month after O) I had no other symptoms for a while. The next symptom I experienced was bloating and nausea starting at about 6 weeks. I had the first u/s at 8 weeks which showed a little bean and a heartbeat (yeah!).
I don't know if it was luck or some lifestyle changes I made the many months prior to my BFP, like cutting down on coffee and alcohol, drinking green tea and Goji berry juice, taking herbs, drinking Red Raspberry Leaf tea, eating more organic, taking prenatal vitamins. My issue when they did the bloodwork was low progesterone so I addressed that issue with natural remedies.
That's it in a nutshell, hope is wasn't too long. GL everyone!
I didn't have too many signs that were different than normal AF-is-coming signs. My BB's were a little more sore, and I had mild cramping which I usually get anyways. I think the most obvious thing was that I was a little more bloated than usual. My pants and shorts felt really tight. Oh, and AF was a couple of days late. I didn't get my BFP until 15 dpo.
I started on prenatal vitamins a couple of months before we started TTC. We used Preseed for the last two cycles - but we didn't use the amount they recommend, maybe about 1/3 of it, because DH didn't like the texture, but I wanted a little extra lube. Afterwards, I would put a pillow under my butt and lay in bed for 20 minutes. My BFP cycle, I got EWCM and positive CBE OPK on Friday morning and we did it Friday night, so I think we hit the jackpot timing-wise.
so funny how some women have all the stereotypical symptoms, others have only some of them, and others still have none.
Thank you! I am DYING to test, but I am not going to until Monday - assuming I will need to. AF is supposed to arrive Tues, give or take a day.
