I posted this on the toddler board, but thought I may get more responses here...
I don't know if this is an issue or not, but wanted to get your thoughts and see if anyone else has experienced this. We started DD in daycare a few weeks ago - she is a year old. My DH drops her off in the mornings (she goes three consecutive days a week), then I pick her up. Everytime I've gone, she's been excited to see me and smiles and kicks her legs but yesterday, I went to pick-her up and just peeked into the classroom and saw her walking alongside a table with the teacher nearby and the other (older) children were watching a movie. When I walked in and called her name, she saw me then started crying - it broke me heart. The only other time she's started crying when she saw me was when she was left in her crib for a while and she had given up crying (maybe she thought we left her there for good), and when I walked in, she saw me and started crying.
My question to you guys is... has your DC done this on occasion to you, or should I be worried something might be going on at her daycare? I'm trying to not be too paranoid about this and nothing else about this daycare has made me feel uneasy.
Re: Daycare issue?
Towards the end of the day, when the kids are getting picked-up, they'll put in a movie like the little mermaid, since all their class schedule stuff is done. That's the only time the TV is on - I guess it's hard to have a schedule when kids are getting picked-up at different times.

My kids "cry" when we pick them up every day. They have a grand time at school and laugh all day. It is just their way of being excited. They do the same thing at night when they get their warm milk!
