NBR: Twilight Books

Have any of you read these books?  I know they seem to be YA novels, but I was just wondering if any of you have read them or have any opinions on them.   One of my friends really likes them and offered to let me read one, but I would like to know if you think it's worth my time..LOL!

Re: NBR: Twilight Books

  • I have, I love them. They are a great distraction as they're really light reads. I call them candy for the brain, fun and enjpyable but have no real substance.

  • I'm board hopping (and lurking) but just wanted to say that I loved them and most ppl that I know that have read them loved them as well. They do look HUGE but I read the entire series in a little over a week. Once you start, you probably won't be able to stop.

  • I have friends who are in love with these books. I'm waiting for a friend to finish her copy before I take hers of her hands.

Heck, if you have a free copy available from a friend, give it a try!

  • I have read them ( and have them). They are really good IMO! Very easy read! Beware though that they are addictive. At least they were to DH & I!!! :)

  • My mom lent me the whole series with a high recommendation.  Haven't gotten to them yet, but they are up soon on my reading list.

  • I'm reading them for the second time. I like them. I think it is worth trying the first to see if you like it. Granted, I just like to read so I figured I had nothing to lose.
  • I read them and loved them. You can tell they were written for the YA age, but they were good. They are more about the love story then vampires.
  • Thanks!  I can't wait to start reading!

  • I'm jumping in pretty late here -- I loved them, too!  My favorite is the first one, but they are all pretty good.  My friend got me hooked on them!

  • I just read #2 on my way back from the West Coast last week. I'm trying to hold out on the third one until after New Moon comes out. I loved the books but I really liked the movie too. I saw the movie first. I think the fact that I have a crush on Robert Pattinson has something to do with it though. It definitely takes you back to those high school years of teen angst.?
  • I have read all 4 numerous times!!! They are great books! As a pp stated the first movie (being made low budget and all) wasn't that good .... but New Moon is coming out in Nov and looks awesome!

My friends and I got together on the night the movie came out and went out to eat and watched the movie! We plan on doing a Twilight dinner party before the movie this year. Last year I made vampire cupcakes haha. They were awesome!! Not sure about this year's party!

Third movie comes out June 2010!!!

  • I really liked the first 3, but was a little annoyed by the last one.  That being said if you are looking for light fluffy reads they are definitely fun.
