I mentioned to my mom that I want to CD last week.. her reaction?
Good luck with that!
I was like oookay. I gently told her some of the pros, including the cost benefits. I couldn't remember the exact numbers I read recently on here, but she didn't believe me, and said laundry would make up for it. I found it today and emailed it to her:
Disposables will set you back about the same amount as cloth diaper laundering services -- roughly $2,000 to $2,500 over three years. Wash the diapers yourself, and you?ll pay about $800 to $1,100. For future kids, laundering hand-me-down diapers will cost about $400.
Her reply?
"It's up to you

Just remember, Oma will use disposables at her house

"
I feel like that is really rude of her and it's totally not her call on what diapers my children will wear. I never thought I would get that kind of reaction from her, because usually even if she doesn't totally agree with something she will support me in it (ie: she paid for our entire wedding but let us plan it however we wanted it).
Oh and I know I'm not even pregnant yet, so I shouldn't worry about it yet. But her response just really struck me as rude, and not like her at all, so I needed to vent about it
