Friable Cervix anyone?

I've been told before by 2 different GYNS that my cervix is a little friable. I've always had neg paps and have never had an STD. I've been trying the whole FAM thing right now and have noticed some spotting. Im thinking it due to me checking my CP and upsetting my friable cervix. I was just wondering if anyone else has been told they have a friable cervix? Also was wondering if your DR ever correlated that and IF?

Re: Friable Cervix anyone?

  • Do you know what Friable means?  I know mine is tipped and I have spotting problems....not sure if there's a connection there, though.

  • Friable means bleeds easy. I usually have bleeding after an exam or pap. Occasionally if we are extra vigorous in bed I will have a little bleeding.

  • OMG I was just googling this because my nurse told me I was "fryable" Im going to ask for more detail next time I go in. When I was googling I came across something that said a fryable cervix has blood in it and sperm dont like it. If thats the case it definitely effects IF.

  • A friend of mine was told she has a friable cervix. She hates Paps for that very reason. She had no problem conceiving.
