We've never hired a sitter for Carter, but I know from friends they are around $10/hour in my area.

I've never had a babysitter but in my area, it is about 10 until 10PM and then 12.00 after 10.

I have no idea...but there is no way I would pay $10 an hour for a babysitter.  People around here (Michigan) make less than $10 working at WalMart and they have to pay taxes on that!
