Hello-
I was recently laid off and am now staying at home with my son. I am struggling to find ways to keep him busy and happy during the day. I don't know a lot of SAHMs in my neighborhood- - I'm sure there are some but I'm having a hard time finding any. Are there any coffee shops in the area that have little play areas for kids? I know there's a Caribou in Bloomington that does and it's so nice to go there and have a cup of coffee while he enjoys himself in a new environment- - but I'm looking for more ideas! ECFE classes don't start for about another month and we're in swimming class on Tuesdays. I'd love to hear what you guys do to keep your busy toddlers occupied! I wish there were other moms around to keep me company
Re: New SAHM- need ideas on activities to do with 17 month old!
Where are you?
I'm in St Paul and we have tons to do.
The parks and rec centers, Java Train Coffee shop, Wabun Picnic area, Minnehaha falls, Como Zoo, McD's, walk around the lakes, the libraries all have story times, Rosedale has an indoor play area, etc.
any indoor play area. if you google indoor parks or play areas for the twin cities there are quite a few that show up! any ymca. local parks-that is how i meet most of the moms in my area!!
we enjoy our own kiddie pool. we have found a playgroup through meetup.com that is in our area. i also found a moms group through our church.
look around!!!
