Registry info in baby shower invite?

I know that the "proper" thing to do is for guests to call the hostess and inquire as to where the mom-to-be is registered. But is it tacky to include registry info in a shower invite? Obviously I don't want to offend anyone, but I know I find it easier when the info is included.

It is fine in a shower invite.

I think it's fine. In fact, I appreciate it in either a bridal shower or baby shower invite. I think it's only tacky in a wedding invite itself.

I know it's considered tacky, but I find it really helpful.

I think its fine on a shower invite. In fact, I prefer it, then I don't have to add time to the awkward RSVP call to the hostess that I don't know well.
