I am 21 weeks and last night I was having BH contractions but it felt like only one side was contracting??? Very strange feeling, has anyone else had this?
I have been having BH since week 16. The doctor said that it is normal to start having them earlier with twins. Anyway... mine do feel stronger on one side or the other. Usually it is stronger feeling on the side that the babies are on. I am not sure if it is actually stronger, or if the baby is reacting to it and making me feel it more. I also noticed it feels different if I am laying on my side.

They just feel like your stomach is getting tight. They don't hurt at all and last for about 20 seconds or so. If you feel your stomach when they are happening, it feels super hard.

Not a silly question I just thought I would add my little experience with knowing what BH were, I had them starting probably around late 20 weeks and I always told my husband "Oh look I it seems like both twins moved and they have their bums sticking out" well one day coming back from an appointment I was telling my mom how funny it was since it was doing it again and she felt my stomach and was like "those are BH" so it was kind of funny, my friends told me they felt like my stomach tightning I don't know why I never put two and two together...I guess I never thought they would start this early

ohhh ok so when my belly looks like a giant butt (from one baby sitting on one side and the other on the other side)hahahaha!!! and is hard as a rock that BH contractions??
I was assuming that my belly getting hard was from the babies going through a growth spurt and my skin stretching. so basicallly its just when your belly tightens... ewww kind of like now!!!
and just to confrim these are nothing really to be concerned with correct?
I too had no idea what the weird distortions were until reading that they were in fact BH.
From what I've read, as long as you don't have 4+ in one hour, you are ok (don't need to call dr.). My peri gave me a sheet/guideline, too--if you feel they become very frequent, call your dr. asap.
I had them terrrible with my singlton. last night was BAD b/c I had so much stress. It just felt so strange to have it on ones side and not the other:)
