how often to you have dc sit on the potty during pt?

I've decided that before I go back to school I'd like to try a day of underwear to see what happens. DS knows about underwear and has been peeing on the potty at niht for a few months now. I have a feeling he'll resist taking potty breaks because he is too busy playing but I was thinking every 30 minutes or so.

Also- what do you do the first days when you need to go on an errand. I keep trying to clear days, but it hasn't been easy

I used a kitchen timer set at 15 minutes at first and then just increase the time as the day went on as long as there were no accidents.  I only let her sit for no longer than 30 seconds....if she didnt do anything  thats fine...I just set the timer again.  I did this for about 2 weeks until she finally got the idea to let me know if she had to go.

Mine never did at a set time (2y 7m he started PTing), he just refused and said that he did not need to go.  He still has an accident about 6 times a week, pee accidents only, but he is so young still.
