When do we register?

This will be our first child so I am all new to this. Does anyone know when we should or if we should register? I am 17 weeks and next week we have an ultrasound scheduled. We are hoping to find out if it's a boy or a girl.

Most people start registering after the u/s I personally started mine online about at your stage.

We did ours the weekend after our U/S, which was right around 19 weeks.

We did ours at about 20 weeks.  We did a lot of research prior to that though about things like carseats, strollers, toys, etc.  This is our first baby and the thought of going into BRU unprepared was very scary. Baby Bargains and Consumer Reports were both very helpful.  Good luck!

I'm still working on it and the shower invites go out this week!   I just hate putting stuff on a registry when it's all so... I dunno.. unnecessary.  I just feel so guilty and greedy about the whole idea of a registry.

I think I waited until almost 25 weeks or so. Like pp, I did a lot of research with Baby Bargains. I hate shopping and hate going to BRU even more so I just registered on Amazon and a local cloth diaper store. Plus, it's been a real tough few months with moving and family stuff so it was just lot easier to do it on-line.

My shower this week so I'll see what I end up getting. I know some folks were a little miffed that I didn't register a regular store but whatever I wasn't going to stress myself over it. I am just grateful for having a shower and receiving gifts.
