I had a moment of idiocy yesterday morning. My DH mentioned a few days ago that he had a ringing in his ears that was so bad, he couldn't hear. But it went away by the next morning.
So I wake up yesterday and he is messing around with the tv remote in the family room and he says to me, without looking up, "It's happened again, only this time I've got sound but no picture." So what's the logical conclusion for me to jump to? Me, freaking out, "OMG, what do you mean you have no picture? You can't see ANYthing? OMG, YOU CAN'T SEE?"
Apparently he meant the cable box was messed up again and there was no picture on the tv. But yeah, for just about a full minute, I was convinved my husband had woken up blind. Who does that?
So then I had to pee and as I sat on the toilette, I started laughing so hard I was crying because it occurred to me how idiotic it would be to think my DH had woken up blind and was calmly scrolling through the tv channels while he waited for me to wake up. 'Cause you know, that's a normal thing to do.
Needless to say, DH has been making fun of me ever since.
Re: I can't believe I am sharing this.
Classic!
btw - our TV had the same issue and we needed to replace the lamp.
so did we!
this was a good story!
Thanks for sharing that, I actually laughed out loud for a bit there! I am still smiling!
Thanks!
Can I tell you how many of those moments I have had as well...
