I just love your siggy...especially the part about you expecting your first two-legged baby. So sweet. Lucky pups to have you for a mommy (and lucky future two-legged baby!).
Most people think we are crazy for raising a baby around 2 large dogs and the little doxie. I'm just hoping my continuous training will pay off when the baby arrives next year.
I have a feeling the pups will be okay. It seems you have good doggie energy so hopefully all of that will come out when the baby arrives. To those people who say you're crazy...I would say what choice do you have? I can't see you getting rid of the dogs so my guess is you will all make it work.
I'm always interested to hear the different things people to do prepare dogs for a new baby. I guess you will just have to do those things three-fold.
Butting in-- we have 3 dogs too and I'm sure people thought we were crazy. Our dogs have done 10 times better than I thought they would. They love her so much. They get so excited when she gets up in the morning or when we get home for the day. They try to share their toys and food with her. It is very cute. Good luck!! I'm sure all of your training will pay off.
I guess I do have good doggie energy - having 3 dogs is not that bad in my eyes. If we had a bigger house or yard, I would probably have even more dogs!
I plan on starting a blog here soon referencing other blogs and information I've read regarding intergrating dogs and babies. For me, getting rid of any one of them was never an option, it breaks my heart to even think about it.
Okay, now I need a tissue. So sweet. Your pups are lucky to have both of you for doggy mommies. I wish others would take your example when it comes to dogs and babies. I'd really be interested in the blog so make sure you post a link!

This! Except I have 4 cats. My cats are my first babies. DH's grandma told me I'd forget about my cats as soon as Logan was born. Um, no. First of all they'd never let that happen (they're huge AWs), and second of all having Logan doesn't make me love them any less.

I totally agree. My dogs will always be my first babies, they have been through a lot so far with me. And they will still be as loved when the "4th" child comes next year.
