snap and go and a 2nd stroller?

Is it necessary to register for both since you would probably use the snap and go for the first 10 months? I love the snap and go but thought I would wait to get the 2nd one when they fit better. I also didn't want to buy something that I may or may not like 10 months down the road. For those of you who use snap and gos woujld you recommend getting both or start with the snap and go?

Re: snap and go and a 2nd stroller?

  • I'd recommend starting out with just the DSNG and then figure out what other stroller you want later.  We only used our DSNG for 6 months and then my girls grew out of their infant seats so we had to retire the DSNG.  We have both a SBS and a tandem stroller now and we switch back and forth between the two depending on where we're going.  I really like having both, but you could definitely get by with just one or the other.
  • Just get the DSNG first -- it will help you decide if you like a tandem or not and then you can get your next one.

Be prepared though -- mine were out of their infant seats at 6 months so we had to get a new stroller a lot earlier than 10 months.

  • I agree with starting out with just the DSNG so you can figure out what you want. And I agree with the pps--we just sold our DSNG today and our boys are just 7 months. One of them is over 21 lbs now so we have to switch them to convertible seats. (It was getting harder to maneuver, anyway, with heavier babies.)

  • We are also looking for a new stroller right now. My boys are 6 months and the DSNG still works but the boys are so heavy that it is getting really hard to maneuver. I honestly can't wait to get a different stroller...I struggle with that thing all the time. I would love to go out walking and stuff but the stroller is kinda keeping me from doing more.

My boys also don't really like being strapped into their carseats, so going places/walking gets challenging. I'm hoping they will like being in the new stroller whenever I figure out which one to get!
