Paper Pregnant?  Is it when the homestudy is completed or is it when you are matched with a BM?

I think it is different for different situations.

We knew that our 'wait' time once active could be 'same day' or less than 6 months until parenthood (it turned out to be -1 month). So we considered our paper pregnant status to begin the moment we received acceptance to our agency. We were "pregnant for 5 months" lol.

I would say that once you accept a referral, you are PP.

Someone told me that once your homestudy is done, you are paper pregnant (because from that point on you are waiting for your baby to arrive.)

As you can see from my siggy, I consider us PP since our homestudy is done.

I think you can call yourself PP whenever you are comfortable with it.  For me, the term equals hope and concrete movement towards parenthood - and having the homestudy complete was all of that for us.

I also think it depends on your situation but for us it will be when our homestudy is done and we are "active" in the waiting pool.

We will be calling ours once our home study is approved b/c that's when we'll be actively waiting -- as some of the others have stated . Actually we should be paper pregnant in like 3 weeks lol. Our social worker is finishing up our work references!
