My husband and I are looking into daycare/childcare options for when I return to work. ?I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations or input to share. ?We live in the Wheeling/Buffalo Grove area (Northwest suburbs).
Has anyone used Bright Horizons??
Re: Daycare
I have looked into several daycare facilities and I was getting very discouraged until I came across Minee Subee Grand in Arlington Heights. I was very impressed. The facility was immaculate, the staff was very friendly and knowledgable. The director gave me a tour and went through every detail. I went there with a list of questions and she covered everything (and more). I will definitely sign up my daughter when I return to work.
Best of luck
just a word of caution. ?
Minee Subee (lincolnshire) was shut down b/c a child died there in Jan 2009. ?not to cast doubt on any site, but from what i read (and heard from my DCP) their management left a lot to be desired. ?i would scrutinize them before i took my child there. ?i would also make sure you feel very confident in the teachers.?
I am looking for daycare as well in the same area (wheeling/buffalo grove). I wont be going back to work until january but am starting to try and find options. I dont know much about Gertrude Neilsen except from their website and i can tell when i drive by everyday they are busy and it is a large center. I am going to take a tour there at some point. The tough part for me is getting there before they close at 6pm.
If you are thinking about finding an in home day care or nanny, email me and maybe we can talk about doing it together. Either way, i am in your area and we can talk about being a new mom and the resources around us.
