Have you given Cream of Wheat, regular oatmeal, grits, etc.

DS will take oatmeal, rice cereal, etc. fine, but since we just finished the last boxes, I'm wondering if we can get real food for him or stick with the baby stuff.

If you've given these, do you prepare them with water or milk? Water seems like it doesn't give much nutrition, but he's too young for whole milk. Maybe I should just stick to what's been working for now.

Any ideas?

We give DD old fashioned 100% whole grain oatmeal. I cook it on the stove with water (takes about 5 minutes) I dont even puree it anymore. I have it frozen in muffin trays in the freezer. Then every morning we heat it up with a banana and mash up.

I want to start offering cream of wheat. ?You could always mix in a little formula or BM for extra nutrition. ?

Charleigh loves Cream of Wheat and regular oatmeal.  At daycare I am pretty sure they prepare it with whole milk.
