Infertility

IVF Financing?

Now that Capital One no longer has their program who are you financing your IVF with? We do not have enough equity built into our home to take out a second mortgage...

TIA

Re: IVF Financing?

  • We're going to apply for a loan against DH's car.  It's only worth about 5K, so if we need more or it falls through, we'll use credit cards.  A lot of banks are offering low interest right now.  Something else to consider are loan programs your RE works with.  Two are mymedicalloan.com and medchoicefinancial.com .
  • Loading the player...
  • We were going to use a balance transfer offer on one of our credit cards (we don't carry a balance.)  It would have been 2.9% until paid off.

Turns out we were able to borrow the money from FIL instead, which is a little more comfortable.

  • We saved for IVF #1 and paid with cash.  My husband's parents are paying for (most of) IVF #2 for us.

  • Not sure yet b/c it's a while off, but we are considering our credit union.
