Working moms with PPD???

Do any of you have it or know anyone that does?  I am thinking I may have it.  Where do you go to get it diagnosed.  I passed the screen ay my OB at 6 weeks PP.  But, since coming back to work a little over a month ago (at 10 weeks PP) I am thinking I am seing symptoms; now more than ever....  Since I don't have an appointment at my OB/GYN anytime soon, where would/should I go to get it screened as I am feeling a lot different at 17 weeks PP than I was at 6 weeks?  My insurance is a PPO so I can make an appointment anywhere without needing a referral.

    I would call my obgyn and ask for an appointment. You could also make an appointment with a therapist or psychiatrist if you have a ppo.

    Hi, I see that you live between hburg and York.  I do too!  and I work near york.  I too have been having the same feelings and our babies are not that far apart.  you are not alone.

    I'm half asleep...I wanted to add that I ahve been struggling with the same problem. I'm sad and depressed on the days I'm not working from home. Once I realized that it was just me being sad about leaving my baby, I felt a little better. I hope you feel better soon. It's awful.

    Start with your OB - call and make an appointment.

    Mine hit once I returned to work at 12 weeks post partum. I was feeling overwelmed with everything and very anxious. I have two kids. I went to see a pyschiatrist that prescribed the meds and then I saw a therapist for a couple months.  You could do that or just call your OB. I'm zoloft and it has done a world of good. Hang in there. It gets better.

    Random question, have you had your first pp period yet? I felt like I had PPD in the days preceding my first pp period. My PMS symptoms and depressed feelings were out of control. If you have concerns that it is something more, definitely have it checked out though.

    DD #1 passed away in January 2011 at 14 days old due to congenital heart disease
    DD#2 lost in January 2012 at 23 weeks due to anhydramnios caused by a placental abruption

    Yes, and I can't help but wonder if I would feel differently if I wasn't working full-time (at a very stressful job at that).

    Oh and I live in Lewisberry and work in Mechanicsburg.  Where do you live?

    Definitely talk to your doc. It may not be PPD per-se, but if you aren't feeling like yourself it's good to get help.

    I would suggest OB or your primary care doctor can give you some suggestions.  Good luck!

    You can call your OB and let them know.

    Please get help if you're feeling this way. You're not alone. I had it too.
