Ebay buyers - I have a question

I bought something today from ebay from a seller. I just went straight through and purchased it. I paid via pay pal.

Should I expect to hear from the seller to verify that they received it and will ship it on such and such date? I haven't heard anything yet and was just wondering.

I don't always get a shipping date or confirmation or anything. You could email to verify they got it all and to ask when they plan to ship.

I did that. I guess I will just wait

I don't think ebay requires any communications from sellers, but it sure is nice!  I've had sellers not say a thing (and totally ignore emails from me in a couple cases) and a package eventually shows up.  Then others email to confirm payment received and again when they ship.  If they use paypal shipping, paypal will automatically send you an email with the shipping info.

I don't send anything to any buyer except for the automatic shipping notice from Ebay. As a buyer, I found anything beyond that to be unnecessary, and deleted them. If you look on the auction page, sellers are now required to say when they will ship by. My terms are 3 business days, but each seller differs.
