Is this normal?

It seems like when I put DS in his pack and play or anywhere for that matter outside of myself he screams his head off. In his swing he cries and eventually falls to sleep, but when will he begin to enjoy his awake times. He's asleep, or crying, there might be a ten minute slot of awake and not crying but it is really rare.

L was like that too...she just gradually started enjoying waketime little by little.   good luck, i know it sucks:(

DS was the exact same way...he only started napping and being more independent around 8 weeks. Now he loves to entertain himself most of the time (he's 11 weeks).

I'm finding that Oran gets bored. He doesn't like to be in one place for too long. We have to move him around a lot- sometimes the only thing that will console him (we check for wet diaper and hunger first) is carrying him around the house and talking to him. He'll sit in his swing, then his bouncy seat, or his basinette or crib, but not for long if he's awake.
