It may be amazing to read, but I am 31 years old and have never been on birth control. I basically have done condoms and lots of prayer in the past.
At my follow up yesterday my Perinatal doctor said that under no circumstance can I get pregnant right now. We have test to do to explore the Lupus antibodies. She wants me to wait 6 months to a year to get pregnant.
So ... I have to consider birth control. My husband informed me yesterday he is "allergic" to latex - hehe!
Here is my concern, after we get the clearance to try again I dont want to have to wait months and months for my body to get back to normal from chemical birth control.
What do you suggest? Any experiences would be helpful. Many Thanks!
Re: birth control ...
Use condoms. I hate them, DH hates them, but we don't want to get KU right now. We have a pack that is not latex.
I think you should try talking to your hubby... DH and I bought a whole bunch of different kinds (the cashier in WalMart gave us some funny looks!) to make it fun and see if we could tell the difference in them. GL!
With my first pregnancy, I got pregnant my second cycle off birth control pills (first cycle trying). I actually have several friends who got pregnant their first cycle off the pill.
I can certainly understand not wanting to use condoms exclusively. DH and I personally hate them. And, they're not a 100% guarantee. So, if it really would be bad to not get pregnant right now, then I definitely think you should talk to your doc about something like the pill, the patch, or the nuva ring.
