2nd Trimester

Pea in a pod..

.....okay, I really like there stuff...a little pricey, but how true is the size?  Can anyone help?

I am mostly looking at tops.

Re: Pea in a pod..

  • I love it!  The fit is really really good.  Very true to size and fits like good quality fits.  I found their stuff to fit me the best out of all maternity I've tried so far.  I think for a few pieces you will wear a lot, it's a great option.  Great quality.

  • Pea in a Pod is similar to Motherhood, same company.  Their pants run a bit smaller though.  The skirt I have in my siggy pic is Pea in a Pod and the shirt is Motherhood.
  • okay, can I ask what size top you normally wear pre pregnancy and what you wear pregnant?

I normally would wear a med especially in long sleeves and my torso is long....would you order a med?

sorry, I am starting to not fit into my pre-pregnancy clothes.

  • I would definitely go with a medium in the tops.  If it's a fitted top that isn't stretchy and your boobs have gotten huge (like mine have) I would consider a large.  Their pants seem to run a little small.  I am a 4 or 6 pre-preg. and that's what I have been wearing from the Gap etc but at Pea I have had to get a medium in their pants (and my butt hasn't grown at all).  Beware, their sale stuff is final sale.  Good luck!
  • my only problem is that when I go to Old Navy and Gap....I have to get xs or s maternity and some of the small tops are still too big...any ideas?
  • I was medium pre-pregnancy and am medium in maternity--I have shopped a lot at Pea in the Pod.  I did end up with a couple of small tops, but it was more a matter of preference in certain styles than the medium being way too big.  They stay true to pre-preg size for the most part.

I normally wore XS or S in shirts.  I have been fine wearing size S in tops from here and everywhere.   I can wear an XS too though, just depends on the shirt.  My boobs have grown some which puts me on the bigger of my 2 sizes I usually flip flop between.   I would order a M if I were you.
