Babysitter help?

I had a question on what we should do or what would would work out best.  Maybe someone has an idea.  But We are military and we have a 7 month old baby boy.  I work second shift and my FI works first for the most part.  There are days where he has to stay over and I have to work.  I only work part time two days during the week and one day during the weekend.  But we had a babysitter that would work with us and then one day she just never showed up and never called us.  So we called her numerous times and left messages but nothing.  So needless to say we without a sitter.

My FI told his master chief and so far they are ok with letting him out early. But he can't keep it up.  So My question is pretty much should we hire a babysitter again or are there daycares that take drop offs.  It would only be for a half hour to an hour.  We need someone that is flexible with days.  I just don't want to have what happened to us again and I am so lost with this stuff.

Sorry so long.

Re: Babysitter help?

  • Can you find a new babysitter on your base?  I would assume there might be young wives/mothers who would be willing to do this for you.

  • We've looked, but can't find anything we even went to family support.  I'm not navy and i can't get on base with my FI unless he's with me.  He hates going back on base.  He said he's putting our son on the list for daycare but there is a long list.
