Absolutely! I am 40 and pregnant with my first. There are several women on this board pregnant over 40.

  I just turned 41 and have had no problems with my pregnancy and feel great! So much of it depends on your overall health before you get pregnant.

That's a pretty loaded question in these parts.  What exactly do you mean by "safe?"

I certainly hope so. I'm 40 and 25 wks pregnant. No turning back now :-)

I'm pregnant with my first baby at 43 and will be 44 when I deliver.  I'm feeling pretty good for an "old" lady.

I'm 41, and haven't head any huge issues come up.  Some women can't have safe pregnancies even at 25, and some are healthy and strong enough to get pregnant safely well into their late 40s.  It all depends on the individual!

I hope so b/c we want a second child and I'll be after 40 when he/she is conceived, hopefully.

I will be turning 40 next month.  I had hoped my first would be years ago but life sometimes doesn't want to go the way you want it.

Thanks for your replys this is my second child I was 24 years old when I had my first child who is now in college. Some people wish to force their opinions on me about being to old, or why are you starting over this is the time you should be living your life. my response Ive been living my life for the last 42 years and I never stoped so why stop now?
