inflexible schedule

does anyone have one?  mine is not that flexible.  I have scheduled times that I have to work everyday ... mostly 9-6 ... but also every other Saturday from 9-1.  On the days that I have to work Saturdays, I get to take the 4 hours and use them towards the following week.  I wish I had a more flexible schedule though.  Anyone with me?

Me.  I must work 8:30-5:15 M-F.  There is no option to change that (I would love to do a 7-3:30 or something like that, or 4 10 hour days to have an extra day with DS) or work from home.  I hate it.

i work 730 to 4, i could get an alternate work schedule which would give me one day off every two weeks but I cant with DH's schedule, it always changes..

When I returned to work after DD, my schedule was this:

M: 9-4
T: 10-6
W: 10-8
R: 9-6
F: 9-4

During the months of Sept. through about April, that Monday would have gone away and I would have to do those hours on a Saturday.  The even suckier thing was that DH's hours at the time were 11-7.  I would have had to find alternative daycare for DD Wednesday nights and Saturdays.  The only family time we would have had would be Sundays.

I quit that job because I didn't want DD to be with someone else that often.  I have never regretted it for a minute.

What did you do?  The schedule sounds very similar to mine.  What do you do now? Glad to hear I am not theo nly one.

I don't which is why I found a new job.  In fact, I could possible be scheduled anytime between the hours of 715-615 and Saturdays 745-1230 and generally got my schedule only the Saturday before, so like Saturday for the following Monday.  It was crazy to try and plan a single thing, and having no idea what it would be just isn't working anymore.
