Dry, itchy boobies

Okay, so I guess it wasn't enough to have leaky boobs.. Now my boobs have been getting really itchy lately and I just peered down my shirt (yes, I'm at work but nobody can see me looking down my shirt) and they are soooo dry (mostly my nipples that are dry)!

Is this happening to anyone else? I am reluctant to rub lotion on them for fear of getting a rash since I have sensitive skin.. Ugh!!

  • I am totally with you on this! The problem i find that if i put lotion on them to make them less dry, it makes then even more itchy, and because i work in rooms full of men i decided that constantly itchy boobs were not a great way to go!

The only thing i can find which makes them slightly less annoying is vitamin e cream, but only a teeny tiny amount! Otherwise you end up skidding around inside you bra which makes the nipples even more sensitive and even more itchy! Urgh you just can't win!

  • I dont have a problem in the nip area but in between mine is really dry and sensative.  You could maybe try some Lansinoh on them?

  • Motherhood Maternity has a line of skin care that is very good for sensitive skin.  They have a nipple/breast cream that is great!

They also have a stretch mark cream (so-so) and a leg cream (so-so also)

I know this one may seem a little wonky as well but...if your nipples are leaking rub the leakage into your nipples.  It is apparently a natural lotion to help soothe them.

  • For really bad itchiness, I use Eucerin Original Creme.  It comes in a tub, is very thick and is fragrance-free.  It really clears up cracking/pain quickly.

For everyday itchiness, I use  Palmer's.

  • I have the same thing, and like you it's mostly my nipples. I have sensitive skin as well and I use Johnson and Johnson creams and washes (regardless of pregnancy). The pink bottle (which is there regular one I think) of cream has been working for me. It isn't harsh at all and it's just moisturizing enough that I can put it on out of the shower and before bed and I am good to go.

    Good luck!

  • I haven't had the dryness problem, but I have almost like a diaper rash type redness/irritation between and under them  (My girls are bigg'uns).  I've been using baby powder between and under them but then with the hot summer I sweat and end up with baby powder paste... Ugh.. I can't win!
  • One day mine were so itchy and on fire that I used Benadryl cream. It worked wonders!!
